Property Accounting Professional

 

We are seeking a highly skilled Property Accounting Professional to join our team. As a key member of our property accounting department, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of commercial properties owned by various funds and joint ventures.

Your primary duties will include reviewing 3rd party property accounting for consistency, accuracy, and proper accounting practices, as well as overseeing cash management, including weekly check fundings and financial reports.

You will also be responsible for preparing unaudited financial reports as required by ownership, providing comprehensive audit support, and preparing audited financial statements with footnotes (FV and Tax basis).

In addition, you will work closely with other teams, including Acquisitions, Asset Management, Tax, and Finance, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.

The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in property accounting, with a strong background in commercial real estate and knowledge of fair value GAAP, tax accounting, and IFRS.

You should be proficient in tenant recoveries (CAM) and have a solid understanding of waterfall calculations. Experience with year-end audits, loan compliance, and financial software systems applications is also highly desirable.

As a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills, you will be able to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage overall property level accounting, including cash management, financial reporting, and unaudited financial reports.
