Job Description

The role of the Principal Technical Lead is a strategic position that requires an individual with exceptional technical expertise, leadership skills, and experience in BIM implementation. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing guidance and direction to project teams, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and adherence to industry standards.

  • This involves developing technical solutions to complex problems, leveraging cutting-edge BIM methodologies and tools.
  • The individual will determine and develop approaches to solutions, considering project constraints and client requirements.
  • In this capacity, they will perform complex assignments involving multiple application platforms and systems.

BIM Implementation Expertise

  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leading BIM projects for large-scale commercial or industrial developments.
  • They should possess a strong understanding of UK building regulations and industry standards related to PHE systems.

Leadership and Team Management

  • A proven track record in developing and implementing BIM execution plans is essential.
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor junior staff.

Skills and Qualifications

  • The individual should hold a graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10-12 years of experience in PHE design and BIM implementation is required.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks is necessary.
  • Demonstrated experience in clash detection and coordination of multi-disciplinary BIM models is also required.

Additional Requirements

  • The ideal candidate should be proficient in sustainable design practices and energy-efficient PHE systems.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools is also desirable.
