- Training & Development: Provide ongoing education and training to team members on coding updates, industry changes, and best practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with clients and stakeholders to resolve coding discrepancies and ensure seamless production.
- Reporting & Analysis: Generate reports on coding productivity, accuracy rates, and trends, presenting findings to senior management.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with changes in federal, state, and payer-specific coding regulations and implement necessary updates.
- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve escalated coding issues and denials efficiently.
- Bachelors degree in a medical related field is preferred.
- Minimum 8+ years of hands-on medical coding experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Experience with various coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, etc.) and knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Oncology experience is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proficient in medical coding software and healthcare management systems.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
