Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for identifying areas requiring operational adaptation and improvement, and implementing effective solutions.

The successful candidate will have experience in planning and procurement of direct materials, and will be proficient in Oracle ERP/SAP modules. They will also possess strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal partners.

Responsibilities:
  • Create purchase orders and expedite as needed
  • Coordinate inventory counts, adjustments, and repair processes
  • Schedule and revise shipments to meet demand
  • Communicate with suppliers on forecast, incoming material, and inventory positions
  • Handle complaints and drive resolutions through teamwork
  • Clarify invoice-related queries with suppliers and internal partners
  • Relay demand fluctuations and supplier performance to sourcing teams
  • Ensure supply for all assigned materials and initiate escalations as needed
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Science/Commerce/Engineering
  • Sound knowledge of English and good written communication skills
  • Basic understanding of planning-procurement/purchasing process in manufacturing industry
  • Experience handling planning and procurement of direct materials
  • Practical knowledge of Oracle ERP/SAP modules (Production Planning or Material Management module as end user)
  • Basic knowledge of MS-Office
  • Previous experience in customer service role (chat/email/voice)
  • Effective probing skills and analyzing/understanding skills
  • Problem-solving skills with customer-centric approach
