Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CICS systems professional to lead our team in delivering high-quality services. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in CICS systems programming and administration, with a proven track record of success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain CICS systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Develop and execute CICS version upgrades, CICS TS upgrades, and Transaction Server upgrades to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Perform regular CICS maintenance activities using SMP/E to ensure seamless operations.
  • Manage CICS resources online and offline, ensuring maximum availability and minimal downtime.
  • Create, configure, and sunset CICS regions as required, optimizing system performance and efficiency.
  • Modify CICS configurations and troubleshoot complex issues to ensure smooth operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Provide support for z/OS Connect (a valuable asset).

Technical Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of CICS Systems Programming principles.
  • Expertise in z/OS, JCL, REXX, VSAM, Endevor, CA7, ServiceNow, and z/OS Explorer.
  • Experience with CICS upgrades and maintenance via SMP/E.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
