Backend Systems Engineer Position

We're looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to create scalable, high-performance systems that empower cross-functional teams through reliable backend services.

About the Role
  • Develop robust, well-documented APIs for internal and external use.
  • Evaluate system performance and optimize for scalability, security, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Shape the backend architecture and technical direction supporting our Product vision.
  2. Develop and maintain core services for Product Catalogue, user Profiles, and Asset Management.
  3. Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms while maintaining security compliance and data protection across all systems.
  4. Lead technical proposals through RFCs and contribute to Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) to align engineering efforts.

You'll be a great fit for this role if you have experience in designing and implementing scalable backend systems, working with cloud platforms, databases, and microservices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Designing and implementing scalable backend services using modern programming languages and open-source frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms, database management, microservices, API development, infrastructure automation, and observability tools.
  • Collaborating with data science, ETL, and web scraping teams by providing scalable and efficient backend solutions.
