Search Solution Architect

  • Design and develop comprehensive search solutions using cutting-edge technologies such as OpenSearch/Elasticsearch.
  • Manage index templates, mappings, and lifecycle policies to ensure data integrity, performance, and scalability of large-scale datasets.
  • Create robust, scalable APIs for search using Python (FastAPI), integrating machine learning algorithms for enhanced data enrichment and improved search relevance.
  • Lead the integration of search features into our product suite, ensuring seamless user experiences and reliability through thorough testing and quality assurance processes.
  • Automate deployment and management of search infrastructure, including index templates, pipelines, and queries.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch in production environments, driving innovative solutions and best practices.
  • Deep understanding of AI/LLM-based search experiences, including Rank-AGgregation, Learning to Rank, and query understanding for personalized results.
  • Expert-level expertise in Python, with a strong focus on building scalable, high-performance APIs using FastAPI and related frameworks.
  • Advanced knowledge of search concepts: tokenisers, analysers, custom scoring, query DSL, and indexing strategies for optimal search outcomes.
  • Proven experience with index template management, lifecycle policies, and large-scale data modelling to drive business growth.
  • Proficiency in designing, optimizing, and maintaining complex search pipelines and custom query builders for improved search efficiency.
