About This Role:

This leadership position oversees a team of 10 investigators supporting Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Alert Assessment and Case Investigations. The successful candidate will provide guidance on investigations, compliance processes, and regulatory issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee AML Alert Assessment and Case Investigations teams to ensure timely and effective case resolution.
  • Provide expert guidance on investigations, compliance processes, and regulatory issues to direct reports and colleagues.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls to prevent financial crime.
  • Collaborate with direct reports to identify and analyze patterns and trends in alerts/cases.
  • Deliver written and oral reports to executive leadership to inform strategic decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Expert knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML), financial crime investigations, law enforcement, Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF), Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), US PATRIOT Act, or fraud.
  • Recent experience managing operational teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Proficiency in using AML Monitoring systems and related software to drive efficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate complex information to various stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Justice Studies, English, Journalism, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or other fields involving intensive research, writing, or data analysis.
