Nomura, a global financial services group, offers a unique opportunity for an Analyst/Associate to join their Wholesale division. This role involves providing capital raising and advisory services, structuring, sales and trading of global securities, and distinctive investment research to global corporations, governments and financial institutions.

The team focuses on pricing, modelling, position-keeping, market tracking and trade-idea generation in Structured Credit/Rates Trading. Key responsibilities include performing trade modelling, strategy selection, and performance analysis, as well as building-up infrastructure to implement new models and maintain existing ones.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required, along with a strong commercial mentality and good written and oral communication skills.
  • Proactivity, self-motivation, and results-focused behavior are essential, with previous experience or education in credit derivatives and financial analysis being desirable.

This role requires close collaboration with global trading desks facing dynamic markets and aggressive deadlines. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work under pressure, think critically and make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Trade Modelling: Develop and implement mathematical models to analyze and optimize trades.
  • Strategy Selection: Identify and evaluate potential trading opportunities based on market trends and company objectives.
  • Performance Analysis: Evaluate the performance of trading strategies and provide recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or related field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in trading, finance or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis software.
