Payroll Specialist

Job Title: Payroll Specialist
Project Role: Payroll Specialist

  • Analyze payroll data and transactions.
  • Provide support for all payroll functions and programs impacting employees and serve as a resource for the employee population.
  • Process accurate employee information and job information, including new hires, terminations, tax and payment election setup, ongoing and one-time earning and deduction processing, garnishment/support order processing.
  • Update the employee payroll database in compliance with financial policies and statutory requirements.
  • Perform rigorous quality checks on payroll data to ensure accuracy and avoid unnecessary re-work.
  • Support the delivery of payroll services to agreed timelines.
  • Implement changes to policies and procedures within own area, ensuring a consistent approach across the organization.
Requirements

High School Diploma Required.

  • Minimum 2 years US and Canada Payroll Experience (multi-state pay requirements and taxes).
  • Familiarity with Dayforce Payroll and Workday HR beneficial.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to accurately and efficiently enter data.
  • Ability to follow documented processes.
  • Ability to work within deadlines.
  • Collaborative team player.
Bonus Points:

Familiarity with Dayforce Payroll and Workday HR.
