Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

Department: Fabrication and Erection

Reports To: Senior Quality Manager

Job Purpose:

Evaluate and improve the quality of fabricated components and finished structures as per company procedures, client requirements, and relevant codes/standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect raw materials, components, and structures as per drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct quality checks for fabrication, welding, bolting, cutting, and assembly processes in line with industry standards.
  • Carry out dimensional inspection of built-up sections, secondary members, and assemblies.
  • Monitor surface preparation, blasting, and painting/coating quality as per required standards.
  • Prepare inspection reports, maintain quality records, and ensure traceability of materials.
  • Coordinate with production, erection, and project teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO/IS/ASTM/AISC/MBMA standards and client specifications.
  • Participate in internal and external audits.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in the quality management system.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical / Civil Engineering.
  • Sound knowledge of fabrication and erection processes.
  • Understanding of welding processes (SMAW, SAW, MIG, etc.).
  • Good communication and reporting skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical ability.
