**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Define digital system architecture based on customer requirements.
  • Oversee projects from concept to delivery, including risk management and project scheduling.
  • Partition algorithms for implementation in field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) and/or software.
  • Estimate FPGA resources, computation bandwidth, and memory bandwidth.
  • Develop module-level details, applying design, verification, and validation methodologies.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, including design documents with analysis reports.
  • Provide support during integration phases and to production teams.

**Required Skills & Qualifications:**

  • VHDL knowledge
  • Xilinx tools for synthesis and implementation
  • Thorough understanding of Xilinx FPGAs
  • Functional simulation
  • Hardware design expertise in logic design and debugging
  • FPGA design skills in VHDL/Verilog RTL coding, System C/System Verilog
  • Experience with FPGA synthesis and place-and-route (PAR) tools
  • Implementing DSP algorithms in FPGA environments for radar and electronic warfare systems
  • Modeling algorithms in Octave/MATLAB, generating test vectors, and visualizing data
  • Working knowledge of analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) and digital-to-analog converters (DACs)
  • Good communication, presentation, and fluency skills
  • Version control tools like SVN
