Key Position for Building an Open Financial System

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Software Engineer to join our team of experts in Platform Product Group engineering. This critical role plays a pivotal part in developing a trusted, scalable, and compliant platform capable of operating with speed, efficiency, and quality.

The successful candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in software engineering, backed by a strong background in architecting large-scale distributed systems. They will be responsible for designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services, as well as composing a service-oriented architecture.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a passionate engineer who is committed to building an open financial system that brings the world together. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills for system design and coding, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a bias toward open, transparent cultural practices.

In this role, you will work closely with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to turn our product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter. You will also be responsible for reviewing all feature designs within your product area and across the company for cross-cutting projects.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop a platform for payments organization
  • Provide technical structure to teams and collaborate with management and stakeholders to define strategic roadmaps
  • Build new services using Golang / Java to meet critical product and business needs
  • Design scalable systems to solve novel problems with modern cloud technology and industry best practices
  • Articulate a long-term vision for maintaining and scaling backend systems and the teams running them

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Previous experience with rapid growth in a company (from startup to mid-size)
  • Experience with growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks
  • Background in Blockchain technology (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum etc.)
  • Proficiency in Golang, Docker, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB or DynamoDB
