Senior Data Engineer Job Summary

This role oversees the entire data workflow from ERP systems to our enterprise-wide data warehouse. The incumbent will be responsible for managing ETL processes, maintaining data quality and integrity, and developing a secure data infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in BI reporting, especially with Power BI, and proficiency in data modelling and visualisation. Knowledge of Python, Java, big data technologies, and cloud platforms is also essential. Familiarity with SharePoint and Microsoft Power Platform is advantageous.

  • Design and implement ETL processes for data extraction from ERP systems.
  • Develop and maintain data warehouses with focus on database design and maintenance.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all platforms.
  • Implement data access controls and security measures.
  • Work with BI developers to provide data for Power BI reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Demonstrated around 4 to 7 years of experience in data engineering and database management.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python or Java, and experience with relational databases.
  • Experience with data warehousing solutions and data security.
  • Strong written and spoken English; German is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.
