Backend Developer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced backend developer to join our team as an offshore consultant.

This critical role will focus on migrating core functionality from a legacy .NET monolith to a modern, event-driven architecture using Java Spring Boot microservices.

As a key contributor, you will deconstruct legacy .NET code that handles crucial integrations with our platform and re-implement it as resilient, scalable, and cloud-native Java services.

Key responsibilities include designing and developing high-performance, scalable Java Spring Boot microservices, leading the migration of existing .NET code to a new Java stack, implementing a modern event-driven system, and building cloud-native solutions using Google Cloud Platform technologies.

You will work closely with our team to leverage modern tools and AI to accelerate our migration efforts.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in backend software development, with a strong emphasis on enterprise-level systems.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Java and the Spring Boot framework.
  • Professional experience with .NET (C#), with a demonstrated ability to read, understand, and reverse-engineer legacy codebases.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically with services like Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Spanner, and/or Firestore.
  • Deep understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-driven design patterns.
  • Proven experience working with message brokers and event streaming platforms.
  • Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
