Senior Electronics Specialist

The Advanced Hardware Engineer will be an integral part of the electronics design team, working closely with the project leader to manage requirements, design electronic circuits, conduct analysis, implement and test aerospace electronics products and printed circuit cards.

• Electronics Component Selection: We are seeking an individual with expertise in selecting suitable electronics components for our projects. You should have a solid understanding of analog and digital circuit design and schematic entry.
• Circuit Analysis: The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and experience in conducting tolerance, power, thermal, and worst-case analysis on electronic circuits.
• Layout Guidelines: Collaboration with layout engineers is essential for successful implementation of our designs. You should be able to create effective layout guidelines that meet the required specifications.
• Board Bring-Up and Testing: Proficiency in board bring-up and testing is crucial for ensuring the quality of our products. You should be well-versed in environmental testing procedures and techniques.
• Process, Quality, and Program Compliance: Our organization adheres to strict quality standards, and we require an individual who can ensure compliance with these standards throughout the product development process.
• Technical Decision Making: As a critical member of our design team, you will be expected to make informed technical decisions that drive the success of our projects.
• Design Reviews: Participation in high-level and low-level design reviews is essential for evaluating and refining our designs. You should be comfortable presenting your ideas and providing constructive feedback to colleagues.
• Problem-Solving Analysis: We are looking for a seasoned engineer with exceptional problem-solving skills, capable of identifying root causes and developing innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Power Electronics or Master's Degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Power Electronics with 7-8 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent understanding of electronics hardware involving digital, microprocessor circuits, fundamentals, power, and EMI circuits.
• Must have electrical design experience with high-speed digital or mixed signal design.
• Practical experience in analyzing and troubleshooting electronics circuits.
• Ability to simplify complex circuits and explain underlying concepts clearly.
• Capacity to provide technical guidance and leadership during project execution.
• Self-motivated with a focus on results, sense of urgency, and ability to work seamlessly across boundaries.
• Good written and verbal presentation and communication skills.
• Experience in designing for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and exposure to RF conducted and radiated emissions/susceptibility testing.
• Knowledge of grounding and shielding techniques.
• Thorough understanding of board design, EMI filter design, lightning analysis, and component selection.
• Familiarity with Schematic and Layout tools like Dx Designer, Hyperlynx DRC, and Hyperlynx SI.
• Ability to visualize solutions quickly and generate innovative ideas.
• Good orientation to hardware systems, procedures, and process frameworks such as CMMi, AS9100C, Six-Sigma, and hardware processes for product/hardware development.
• Experience working in matrix organizational structures with solid and dotted line reporting, or global people reporting.
