We are seeking an individual with a passion for helping children reach their full potential to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Shadow Therapist at our organization, you will have the opportunity to develop essential communication, professional, and therapeutic skills while working alongside our experienced therapists.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tailored plans to support students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and school curriculum.
  • Provide personalized assistance to students in understanding tests, projects, and assignments, ensuring they stay on track academically.
  • Create and implement Behaviour Intervention Plans at school and center settings, promoting positive behaviors and outcomes.
  • Utilize Naturalistic Environment Teaching (NET) strategies in various contexts to foster learning and development.
  • Analyze data, graph results, and provide actionable insights to inform student-related decisions.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and other stakeholders to identify student needs and develop targeted interventions.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, including interactions, targets, and outcomes.
  • Promote social inclusion by integrating children into group activities and community events.
  • Demonstrate data-driven decision-making skills, leveraging analysis to inform program improvements.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in ABA training, incorporating new strategies and techniques into your work.
  • Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, providing regular updates and insights.
  • Work closely with classroom teachers to ensure seamless implementation of accommodations and modifications.
  • Design and utilize stimuli tailored to meet individual student learning requirements.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Experience working with young children or those with developmental delays is preferred, but not essential.
  • A Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) credential is desired but not mandatory.
  • Clear police checks, first-aid certification, and CPR training are required.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Extensive training in special needs and ABA principles is highly valued.
  • Ability to interpret data and set client goals, driving informed decision-making.
  • Excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in psychology, education, child development, special education, or a related field.
  • Related experience is preferred but not essential.
