Software Quality Assurance Engineer Job Description

This position involves ensuring the quality of mobile solutions in a fast-paced environment. You will perform manual testing, develop automated test scripts using tools like Appium or Selenium, identify and track bugs, collaborate with developers, conduct regression testing, participate in test planning, and provide feedback.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manual Testing: Perform thorough testing of mobile applications on Android and iOS devices to ensure they meet requirements.
  • Automated Testing: Develop and execute automated test scripts using tools like Appium, Selenium, or similar to streamline the testing process.
  • Bug Tracking: Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using tracking software to ensure timely resolution.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers to understand application features and requirements, providing clear and concise feedback.
  • Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to ensure stability and performance of apps.
Requirements:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in software QA, with a focus on mobile app testing for Android and iOS platforms.
  • Testing Skills: Proficient in both manual and automated testing for mobile applications.
  • Automation Tools: Experience using Appium, Selenium or equivalent UI test automation tools.
  • Tracking Tools: Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication skills, ability to work collaboratively in a team, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CICD Tools: Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment tools like Jenkins.
  • Source Control: Experience using Git for source control.
  • Programming Languages: Knowledge of high-level programming languages like C#, Java, or Python.
  • Agile Environment: Experience working in an Agile development environment (Scrum).
