Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain our scalable and secure cloud infrastructure. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and managing our AWS cloud environments.

Main Responsibilities:
  • AWS Infrastructure Design & Implementation: Architect and implement highly available AWS cloud environments, including designing VPCs, Subnets, Security Groups, and IAM policies to enforce security best practices.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation: Develop and enhance Terraform & CloudFormation templates for cloud provisioning, and automate deployment, scaling, and monitoring using both AWS-native tools and scripting.
  • Cloud Security & Compliance: Enforce best practices in IAM, encryption, and network security, ensuring compliance with standards like SOC2, ISO27001, and NIST, and implementing tools such as AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, and WAF for threat detection and response.
  • Monitoring & Performance Optimization: Set up monitoring solutions (AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana) and logging for proactive monitoring, and implement autoscaling, load balancing, and caching strategies to optimize performance.
Qualifications:
  • A Master's degree with hands-on cloud experience, or a Bachelor's degree with extensive experience, or a Diploma with a substantial background in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Deep hands-on experience with core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, etc.).
  • Expertise in Terraform & CloudFormation for AWS infrastructure automation.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS networking (VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, VPN, Route 53).
  • Experience with Linux administration, scripting (Python, Bash), and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, etc.).
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or Terraform Associate certifications are preferred.
Key Skills:
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills in cloud networking, storage, and security.
  • Collaboration: Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, cloud-first environment.

This is an onsite role that requires participation in a 24/5 on-call rotation, and may require working later shifts based on business needs.
