Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Leadership Director to lead and inspire our backend engineering teams.

In this critical leadership role, you will be responsible for the overall technical direction, execution, and growth of multiple teams focused on building and scaling our core platform using the MERN stack (Node.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

  • Lead and manage multiple backend engineering teams, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing environment.
  • Own the overall technical vision and strategy for the backend organization, ensuring alignment with business objectives and product roadmap.
  • Drive the planning, execution, and delivery of complex backend initiatives across multiple teams, ensuring they are on time, within scope, and meet high-quality standards.
Key Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and leading multiple software engineering teams and/or engineering leaders. They should have a deep understanding of JavaScript (ES6+) and asynchronous programming paradigms. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is also desirable.

  • Strong technical leadership skills with the ability to drive technical direction and strategy.
  • Proven track record of managing and leading multiple teams, fostering collaboration and high performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
