Job Description

This role will join the ServiceNow Platform team at Ecolab, working closely with end-users, analysts, IT teams, and key stakeholders to implement and execute ITSM, HR, CSM, ITOM, and/or CMDB solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will leverage technical best practices to deliver out-of-the-box and custom solutions to our customers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform daily support, administration, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform, including midservers and integration points.
  2. Collaborate with end-users to troubleshoot and resolve support issues.
  3. Gather, identify, and document business requirements.
  4. Develop clear and concise technical and process documentations.
  5. Develop, install, and troubleshoot ServiceNow applications with possible integration with other programs.
  6. Troubleshoot bugs, fix defects, support users, and build enhancements for applications built in the platform.
  7. Perform code reviews to ensure quality meets coding standards, integration, extensibility, and security.
  8. Assist in maintaining detailed documentation of application design and code generation techniques used to train other developers on ServiceNow system software.
  9. Ensure software behaves as designed by testing it for bugs and performance during all stages of the development process.
  10. Provide guidance within the platform to design and implement ongoing improvements for a portfolio of processes.
  11. Duties and responsibilities can be any combination of development as it relates to ServiceNow modules, tables, and system policies.
  12. Develop reports for management on SLAs/KPIs as they pertain to service delivery.
  13. Manage integration between ServiceNow and other systems/platforms using both mid-servers and cloud-to-cloud.
  14. Work with Web Services Integration (SOAP, REST) and any bi-directional, automated integration between two systems.
  15. Work with architects to define the physical design, and with analysts and product managers to understand the requirements of technical solutions.
  16. Develop and test application code, user interface, and third-party integration components using prescribed application development guidelines.
  17. Monitor health, usage, and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications, coordinates application and platform upgrades.
  18. Evaluate and make recommendations on techniques, practices, or technologies that would enhance our needs.
  19. Train junior members of the team on subject matter expertise to ensure continuous learning.
Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Certified ServiceNow System Administrator.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience and strong working knowledge of ServiceNow platform.
  • 3+ years of experience with ServiceNow workflows or Flow Designer.
  • Experience configuring and implementing ServiceNow out-of-the-box applications, such as ITSM/ITOM/HR/CSM/SPM/PA/APM.
  • 2+ years of experience with scripted REST APIs.
  • Experience educating internal or external customers in best practice design.
  • Experience migrating data into ServiceNow applications.
  • Experience working with ServiceNow in a large enterprise.
  • Familiarity working in an Agile environment with focus in SCRUM methodologies.
  • Experience working with Business Rules, Script Includes, Access Control Lists, Scheduled Jobs, UI Actions, Client Scripts, Catalog Client Scripts, UI Scripts, UI Policies, and Catalog UI Policies.
  • Integrated ServiceNow instance with 3rd-party applications.
  • Experience on adding additional functionalities within existing implemented integrations.
  • Experience on Catalog Items, Record Producers, Order Guides, Workflows, and Inbound Email Actions.
  • Experience on Scheduled Jobs, Events, and Email Notifications, Email Scripting, and Email Templates.
  • Excellent experience in ServiceNow Administration and Production Support.
  • Worked on transform maps, data sources, import sets, and different transform scripts for data loads and management.
  • Ability to work independently or with a team.
  • Demonstrate strong initiative and self-starter.

  • ServiceNow – Certified Application Developer.
  • ServiceNow – Certified Implementation Specialist ITSM/CSM/HR.
