Job Title:

Staff Data Engineer

Job Description:

The purpose of this role is to build data-centric solutions that address customers' core business objectives.

This includes leading or participating in the definition, execution, and communication of ETL strategy and technical solution.

Collaboration with business and operational users, other data management staff, and infrastructure teams ensures adherence to client and company guidelines, restrictions, and requirements as well as industry standards.

Participation in the full lifecycle of agile projects (ideation through implementation) involves designing technical solutions and consumption patterns for business requirements, leveraging approved delivery frameworks.

Additionally, adhering to the Code of Conduct and influencing stakeholders to ensure that solutions are robust, secure, and highly available is a key responsibility.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

  • Experience in ETL pipeline building with spark or scala programming framework and knowledge in developing UNIX Shell Script, Oracle SQL/ PL-SQL, Cloudera Hadoop (Apache Spark, Hive), and Autosys JIL.
  • Hands-on experience with Big data platform for ETL development with AWS cloud platform.
  • Proficiency in AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, and Cloud Watch.
  • Teradata data warehouses experience and proficiency across Enterprise Analytics/BI/DW/ETL technologies such as Teradata Control Framework, Tableau.
