Job Description:

The position of Splunk Engineer entails the management and optimization of Splunk infrastructure to ensure efficient deployment and maintenance across various platforms.

This role is responsible for setting up and configuring Splunk components such as Indexer, Search Head, Deployment Server, Heavy Forwarder, and Universal Forwarder.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting up and configuring Splunk components
  • Standardized Splunk Forwarder Deployments and configurations across UNIX and Windows platforms
  • Troubleshooting of Splunk server and Forwarder problems
  • Designing and maintaining production-quality Dashboards
  • Expertise in parsing, indexing, searching concepts including Hot, Warm, Cold, Frozen bucketing
  • Proficiency in using regex commands to extract fields from log files
  • Actuate Reporting, Development, Deployment, Management, and Performance Tuning of Actuate Reports
  • Monitoring the Splunk infrastructure for capacity planning and optimization
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Certifications: Splunk Certified Power User and Splunk Certified Admin
  • Exposure to MongoDb and Docker services
  • Proficiency in Python and creating customized scripts
  • Experience in data analytics
