Job Description

The Role of a Content Editor requires the ability to edit, rewrite and reshape stories with dynamic prose and strong news judgment.

  • Edit and refine content for clarity, accuracy and style;
  • Ensure all published work adheres to Reuters standards for speed, balance and context;
  • Collaborate with reporters and news editors to produce compelling stories that meet client needs;

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and editing articles to ensure they are engaging, informative and adhere to editorial guidelines;
  • Working closely with reporters to develop story ideas and produce high-quality content;
  • Ensuring timely publication of content while maintaining the highest level of quality;

Requirements:

  • Strong background in editing with a keen eye for detail and ability to simplify complex material;
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure;
  • Adept at performing quickly and efficiently to deliver high-quality content on time;
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously;

About You:

  • 5-15 years of experience in editing business news with a strong track record of producing high-quality content;
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues to achieve shared goals;
  • Strong understanding of Reuters editorial guidelines and policies;
  • Ability to think critically and creatively to develop innovative story ideas and approaches;
