Job Title: Data Cloud Professional

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced data cloud professional to lead the management, optimization, and security of our enterprise data environment.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Snowflake administration, database management, performance tuning, security, and automation.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, architects, analysts, and business stakeholders, to ensure high availability, scalability, and cost efficiency of the data platform.

  • Snowflake Administration: Manage Snowflake accounts, users, roles, and permissions following RBAC principles.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor query performance, optimize warehouses, and tune workloads for efficient execution.
  • Data Management: Oversee databases, schemas, tables, and data pipelines in Snowflake.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices, including encryption, data masking, network policies, and audit logging.
  • Automation: Develop scripts for monitoring, alerting, and automating administrative tasks (SQL, Python, PowerShell, etc.).
  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Track warehouse utilization, storage, and query performance; identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • Cost Optimization: Manage compute and storage costs by monitoring consumption and implementing optimization strategies.
  • Upgrades & Maintenance: Apply patches, monitor Snowflake updates, and ensure minimal downtime.
  • Integration: Support integrations with ETL/ELT tools, BI platforms, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Documentation & Governance: Maintain detailed documentation of Snowflake configurations, policies, and standard operating procedures.
