Job Position: Java Cloud Engineer

We are seeking a skilled engineer with hands-on experience in modern cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and functional programming principles. This role requires a deep understanding of Java's capabilities, event-driven systems, and cloud-native development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement microservices using Java 17+ features, including Pattern Matching, Records, and Function Interfaces.
  • Collaborate on event-driven systems using Kafka and apply architectural patterns like Choreography, Strangler, and Sidecar.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Develop and deploy applications in GCP (or any public cloud) using services like Cloud Run, GKE, GCS, etc.
  • Write clean, testable, and scalable code with emphasis on readability and maintainability.
  • Contribute to the adoption of modern Java features and cloud technologies.
Technical Requirements:
  • Core Java & Functional Programming
    • Deep understanding of Java Streams, Functional Interfaces, Lambda expressions, Supplier, Consumer, Function, and reduce operations.
    • Experience with newer Java features (Java 17+) and proficiency in immutable data structures, pure functions, and clean code principles.
  • Microservices & Architecture
    • Strong knowledge of microservices design patterns, including Choreography, Strangler Pattern, Sidecar Pattern, and hands-on experience with Kafka or other message brokers in Event-Driven Architecture (EDA).
  • Cloud & DevOps:
    • Hands-on experience deploying applications in GCP or another cloud provider (AWS, Azure).
    • Familiarity with Cloud Run, GKE, GCS, or equivalents in other clouds.
    • Understanding of deployment automation, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD best practices.
