Release Manager Position

Key Responsibilities for a Release Manager include:

  • Developing and managing comprehensive release plans that outline timelines, milestones, and dependencies across the release lifecycle.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and preparedness for upcoming releases.
  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks or issues that could impact release timelines or quality.
  • Ensuring all changes are well-documented, communicated, and approved according to established change control processes.
  • Coordinating deployments in cloud environments (e.g., AWS), ensuring compliance with relevant security and operational policies.
  • Driving continuous integration, delivery, and deployment practices; improving release reliability and efficiency through automation.
  • Tracking release progress and providing regular updates, including detailed performance metrics and status reports to stakeholders.
  • Leading the resolution of issues during release phases to minimize disruption to operations.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Certification in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect)
  • Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes)
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools
  • Strong understanding of release processes in complex, large-scale environments
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements and optimize workflows
