Job Title: Platform Integration Specialist

Role:

We are seeking an expert professional to manage API Gateway runtime deployment, hybrid platform management, and cloud-native infrastructure automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience deploying and managing API Gateway Hybrid runtime on Kubernetes clusters, automating infrastructure with Terraform, and managing Kubernetes applications using Helm charts.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design, deploy, and manage API Gateway Hybrid runtime plane on Kubernetes clusters (GKE, AKS, or on-prem Kubernetes).
  2. Perform installation, upgrades, patching, and maintenance of API Gateway Hybrid and API Gateway X environments.
  3. Manage API Gateway runtime components including Message Processors, Synchronizers, and Cassandra clusters within Kubernetes.
  4. Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployment using Terraform and Helm charts.
  5. Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash/Shell and Python to streamline deployment, monitoring, and operational tasks.
  6. Collaborate with API teams to support API proxy deployments, troubleshoot runtime issues, and optimize platform performance.
  7. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for API Gateway platform deployments and API lifecycle management.
  8. Monitor platform health, capacity planning, and perform troubleshooting for runtime and infrastructure issues.
  9. Work closely with network, security, and cloud teams to configure secure and compliant environments.
  10. Support multi-cloud and hybrid cloud deployment strategies, ensuring seamless integration and governance.
  11. Document platform architecture, operational procedures, and automation workflows.

Required Skills & Experience:

API Gateway Expertise:

  • Strong experience with API Gateway Hybrid platform deployment and runtime management.
  • Familiarity with API Gateway X and API management concepts (OAuth, JWT, API keys, SSL/TLS).
  • Experience with API proxy development, debugging, and policy implementation.

Kubernetes & Containerization:

  • Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters (GKE, AKS, or on-prem).
  • Proficient in deploying and managing containerized applications using Helm charts.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes networking, ingress controllers, and service mesh is a plus.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

  • Extensive experience with Terraform for provisioning cloud and Kubernetes resources.
  • Experience using the Terraform Helm provider to deploy applications on Kubernetes.

Scripting & Automation:

  • Strong skills in Bash/Shell scripting and Python for automation and operational tasks.
  • Experience developing automation pipelines for deployment and monitoring.

Cloud Platform Experience:

  • Solid understanding of Google Cloud Platform services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, IAM).
  • Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments is a plus.

DevOps & CI/CD:

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Cloud Build).
  • Experience integrating API Gateway deployments into automated pipelines.

Networking & Security:

  • Understanding of network security, firewall rules, VPNs, and cloud security best practices.
  • Knowledge of API security standards and compliance requirements.
