Job Title: Automation Test Engineer Specialist

About the Role:

This position involves developing a comprehensive API automation framework that validates all major functionalities of a given FastAPI implementation, ensuring thorough test coverage.

Mandatory Skills:
  • API automation testing expertise
  • Selenium with Java programming knowledge
  • Playwright experience (1 year minimum)
Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement a strategic approach to achieve comprehensive API test coverage, automating critical API functionalities, including major CRUD operations (Create, Read, Update, Delete).
  • Validate status codes, response payloads, headers, and error handling for both positive and negative test scenarios.
  • Implement request chaining where the output of one API call is used as input for another.
  • Develop a scalable, maintainable, and reusable framework using suitable libraries for API automation, such as RestAssured, Axios, or Playwright.
  • Integrate testing frameworks like Cucumber, TestNG, Jest, JUnit, or Playwright/Test to run tests.
  • Use proper assertions to verify API responses and implement configuration management using environment variables or config files.
  • Generate an execution report at the end, highlighting test results with Pass/Fail/Skip tests.
  • Document your testing strategy in a README.md file, explaining how you approached writing test flows, ensured the tests are reliable and maintainable, and overcame any challenges faced.
  • Configure a Continuous Integration pipeline using GitHub Actions to automatically run tests on every push to the repository.
