Job Opportunity: Construction Cost Specialist

A construction cost specialist is responsible for managing the financial aspects of building projects. They play a vital role in ensuring that costs are accurately estimated and budgeted, thereby minimizing potential financial risks.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough project scope studies to align with design requirements.
  • Evaluating technical specifications received from the design team to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
  • Optimizing project specifications while maintaining client expectations.
  • Validating Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and backup calculations.
  • Presenting BOQs and proposed solutions to management for approval.
  • Reviewing and verifying Request for Payment (RA) bills and final invoices.
  • Preparing amendments as required.
  • Developing budget cost analyses based on benchmark cost matrices.
  • Presenting alternative budget options to actual designs for consideration.
  • Identifying new products and technologies for potential implementation.
  • Suggesting optimization options for budgets.
  • Meeting budget deadlines without delays.
  • Compiling reports on project cost analysis as per management requirements.
