Job Description:This role offers a unique opportunity to join our team as an Employment Law Expert. You will be working closely with our Global Business Services network to advise on employment law matters, manage disputes, and mitigate risks related to people issues. Your expertise will be invaluable in supporting Group-wide projects that have an employment law element.
As an Employment Law Expert, you will be responsible for advising on and managing employment issues, including investigations, disciplinary actions, grievances, performance management, redundancies, restructuring, and contentious exits. You will also be tasked with managing relevant stakeholders, providing accurate and timely updates on the status of disputes or issues, and offering guidance on regulatory matters affecting staff, particularly remuneration.
You will work closely with the HR, Employee Relations (ER) team, and other stakeholders to provide legal and best practice updates. Your occasional support for M&A integration, including advice on staff consultation obligations and restructuring, will be highly valued.
In this role, you will need to provide relevant stakeholders with accurate and timely information regarding the status of HR disputes and ER issues. You will review internal policies and procedures, advise on employment contracts, and maintain global templates. You will also participate in HR projects and provide occasional support for M&A integration.
Your responsibilities will include reviewing external counsel/supplier quotes and costs, ensuring payment of invoices, advising on and managing employment litigation/disputes, liaising with external legal counsel, coordinating disclosure processes, and collaborating with corporate communications teams to manage reputational risk.
