Job Title: Software Engineering Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled software engineer to drive the development of new platform capabilities in the 'Digital Core' for real-time processing, analytics, and structured workflow.

  • Develop technology solutions to solve business problems and strengthen our position as digital leaders in financial services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in Operations in cross-functional teams to ensure we deliver the right thing.
  • Contribute to skill-aligned chapter constructs working across the Digital Operations platform to ensure we build solutions correctly.
  • Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new software projects and initiatives to support and enhance existing applications.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, application architecture, and design, as well as other phases of the SDLC.

Work closely with stakeholders to develop best-in-class solutions alongside cross-team collaboration with like-minded experts.

You'll be part of a highly motivated and talented group where innovation is encouraged and expected.

Key Skills:

  • 8+ years of experience as a Java software engineer
  • Strong skills in Core Java, Collections, and 8+ years of experience with Java 8 features such as Lambda Expressions and Streams
  • Extensive experience with Spring Framework (Core / Boot / Integration)
  • Good knowledge of design patterns applicable to data streaming
  • Experience with Apache Flink/Apache Kafka and the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash & Kibana) is highly desirable
  • Experience with Flowable or similar BPMN/CMMN tooling is also highly desirable
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies like Angular/JavaScript/React/Redux is applicable
  • Familiarity with CI/CD (TeamCity/Jenkins), Git/GitHub/GitLab, Docker/containerization technologies, and Microsoft Azure is desired
  • Proven track record in an agile SDLC in a large-scale enterprise environment
