A Diabetes Care Specialist provides online diabetes care for adults and adolescents, collaborating with dietitians and psychologists to drive measurable outcomes through structured tele-consults and follow-ups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Care: Diagnose, treat, and manage diabetes; initiate/adjust oral agents & insulin; design step-up/step-down protocols; hypoglycaemia prevention.">
  • Data-Guided Management: Interpret labs, SMBG logs, CGM reports, and device data; create personalised targets and titration plans.">
  • Care Pathways: Co-create diet, activity, and behaviour-change plans with team members; coordinate referrals when needed.">
  • e-Prescription & Documentation: Issue safe, compliant e-prescriptions; maintain structured EMR notes, problem lists, meds, allergies, and follow-up plans.">
  • Follow-Ups & Continuity: Plan reviews, medication adherence checks, complication screening reminders.">
  • Patient Education: Simple, culturally sensitive counselling on nutrition, exercise, foot care, sick-day management, and device use.">
  • Quality & Safety: Identify red flags and escalate appropriately; adhere to platform SOPs and telemedicine regulations.">

Requirements:

  • Medical Degree: MBBS and MD (Medicine)/DNB Medicine or DM/DNB Endocrinology or recognised Diabetology fellowship/certification.">
  • Registration: Valid Registration with prescribing rights.">
  • Experience: 3–10+ years in diabetes care; comfortable with insulin initiation and titration; CGM interpretation.">
  • Telemedicine Readiness: Fluent in video consult etiquette, concise documentation, and digital e-Rx.">
  • Languages: English + at least one major Indian language.">
