This is a highly specialized role that involves the management of tools and equipment.

Job Description
  • Identify tooling needs in conjunction with PIM and Costing Manager.
  • Evaluate total cost of tooling, broken down into categories: study (specification, design), manufacturing and implementation, maintenance.
  • Analyze requested tooling and propose suitable solutions during product/project industrialization.
  • Write functional specifications and obtain approval from Process & Manufacturing engineers, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, EHS and Industrial Quality representatives.
  • Send documented purchase requests, participate in RFQ analysis and contribute to business awards with Sourcing.
  • Perform tooling design or make it subcontracted.
  • Validate designs through reviews involving above actors.
  • Validate manufactured tooling.
  • Develop operating procedures as needed and train manufacturing teams.
  • Follow up on tooling implementation and first use, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Determine inspection operations, handling and maintenance instructions.
  • Write periodic inspection sheets.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Technical education in mechanics or automation.
  • Proficiency in English for reading, writing and speaking.
Benefits

  • Experience in process and manufacturing engineering.
  • Familiarity with CAD and PLM tools (CATIA, DELMIA…).
  • Working knowledge of quality, EHS standards and ergonomics.
  • Familiarity with IS common tools.
  • Process FMEA and QRQC expertise.
