VMware InfraOps Engineer

About this role:

Our organization is seeking an experienced VMware InfraOps Engineer with hands-on expertise in VCenter, NSX, ESXi, Cloud Director, and other related technologies.

  • This is a full-time employment opportunity.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in system administration and engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, administer, and operate VMware Aria Suite of products, vCenter, NSX, ESXi, Cloud Director, and other associated solutions.
  • Automate systems using scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
  • Implement and operate VMware Aria Operations and VMware Aria Automation to monitor, build alerting, manage dashboards.
  • Administer Linux systems and/or develop software applications.
  • Apply software engineering and testing principles.
  • Work in enterprise cloud environments.
  • Understand deployment practices from development to test to staging to production.
  • Possess good communication skills in English.

Required Expertise:

  • Ansible automation.
  • VMware API integration development.
  • Cloud networking, including VMware NSX.
  • IBM Cloud API integration development.
  • Windows Active Directory administration or development.
  • Windows SQL server administration or development.
  • Jenkins build and platform management.
  • Web UI development.
  • Github issue and code management.
  • Networking and network security components, firewalls, gateways.
  • Secure engineering principles and best practices.
  • Security standards, authentication, authorization, and encryption protocols.
  • Kubernetes container orchestration.
  • Telegraf data collection.
  • VeeamOne backup and recovery.
