About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Specialist to join our team. In this challenging role, you will be responsible for developing and reviewing detailed electrical designs, plans, and specifications for MEP systems, ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and review detailed electrical designs, including load calculations and system layouts, to ensure that they meet or exceed industry standards.
  • Prepare detailed construction drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Perform voltage drop calculations and battery calculations for fire alarm systems, and develop strategies to minimize energy consumption.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of projects and effective communication of project status.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in electrical design and engineering, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex electrical systems and develop creative solutions.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or registration as an Electrical Engineer.
  • Experience with building information modeling (BIM) software, such as Revit.
