Job Title: Hiring Mechanical Aircraft Propulsion Systems Architect

The role of the successful candidate will be to lead the design and development of nacelle systems for our cutting-edge project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Nacelle System Requirements: Define, decompose, and manage system-level requirements for nacelles, including inlets, fan cowls, thrust reversers, and exhausts.
  • Design and Development: Serve as the responsible engineer for nacelle systems, overseeing conceptual and detailed design. Manage the integration of nacelle systems with the engine and aircraft, coordinating with internal teams, external partners, and suppliers.
  • Systems Integration: Conduct design trade-off studies to optimize system performance, reliability, and cost. Ensure configuration management is maintained throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Testing and Validation: Develop and manage testing and validation plans for nacelle components and systems. Interpret and analyze test data to verify system performance and compliance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5–10 years of relevant experience in aerospace systems engineering, with a focus on nacelle design, development, and testing.
  • Strong knowledge of nacelle systems, including inlets, fan cowls, thrust reversers, and exhausts.
  • In-depth understanding of aviation regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA) and certification processes.
  • Proficiency with engineering software such as CATIA, ANSYS, and MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Utilize CAD modeling tools (e.g., CATIA) to develop and refine designs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with configuration management.
  • Knowledge of aviation regulations and certification processes.
