Medical Coding Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Medical Coding Specialist in India. The ideal candidate will have 1-7 years of experience in medical coding, particularly in Evaluation and Management (E/M) coding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze medical documentation to assign accurate E/M codes.
  • Evaluate medical records for completeness and ensure compliance with federal regulations and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies in documentation.
  • Stay updated on coding guidelines, regulations, and changes in the E/M coding system.
  • Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 1-7 years of experience in E/M coding or related field.
  • Proficient in medical coding software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Strong knowledge of E/M coding guidelines and regulations.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in coding.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with healthcare providers and insurance companies.
  • Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, COC) is mandatory.
