Business Valuation Professional

In this highly regarded and challenging role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality business valuations and expert testimony in complex commercial and matrimonial disputes.

  • You will extract and map data from financial statements, tax returns, bank statements, and other relevant documents into valuation models and tools.
  • Conduct research on industry trends, public companies, and precedent transactions to support your analysis.
  • Analyze historical and projected financial statements to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for further investigation.
  • Apply appropriate normalization adjustments to financial statements to ensure accuracy.
  • Develop and refine valuation models, perform adjustments, and apply quantitative techniques to support business valuation conclusions.
  • Contribute to the drafting of narrative sections of valuation reports, documenting key assumptions, methodologies, and conclusions in clear and professional language.
  • Prioritize projects and participate in scheduling meetings to ensure timely delivery.
  • Oversee all stages of the valuation project life cycle, applying relevant valuation methodologies, reconciling value indications, and preparing final reports.
  • As you gain experience, you will establish and manage a team, demonstrating strong leadership, team building, and people management capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • A business valuation credential (CFA), CA, MBA, or other advanced degree or certification.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and organizational skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Minimum four years of experience in accounting or finance.
