Desktop Support Engineer

We are seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering team, you'll play a vital role in maintaining IT infrastructure for a Private Equity firm.

Your responsibilities will include administering Microsoft Intune for endpoint management, providing support for Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) infrastructure, and ensuring timely resolution of user issues and requests.

Our ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Office applications, as well as experience with Active Directory, Exchange, and other network administration tools.

They'll also possess excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, strong customer service and communication skills, and the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Administering Microsoft Intune for endpoint management
  • Providing support for Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) infrastructure
  • Managing incident and service request management process
  • Utilizing Nexthink for proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution
  • Handling grant application/drive/folder access requests
  • Administering user accounts in Active Directory
  • Facilitating consultant onboarding/offboarding processes
  • Managing access to collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams
  • Monitoring and responding to phishing email incidents
  • Performing remote software installations and configurations
  • Resetting passwords and unlocking user accounts
  • Assisting with setting up and troubleshooting Zoom meetings
  • Addressing Zscaler/network connectivity issues
  • Providing support for external file sharing platforms
  • Assisting users with unlocking Bitlocker screens
  • Configuring and mapping network drives and printers
  • Providing support for mobile devices

Desired skills include:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Proven experience in desktop support or a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Office applications
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Exchange, and other network administration tools
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
