Are you looking for a challenging freelance IoT opportunity that leverages your expertise in designing and implementing complex IoT solutions? Our company is seeking an experienced Freelance IOT Engineer to join our team of rockstar developers.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in IoT Solution Architecture, with a strong background in designing and implementing scalable and secure IoT deployments.

We are a multinational software company that is growing rapidly, with offices in Florida and New Delhi. Our clientele spans across the US, Australia, and APAC.

This is a part-time opportunity that allows you to work from home (100% remote) while still being part of a dynamic team. You will report into experienced developers with 10+ years of development experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement IoT architectures and frameworks that support scalable and secure IoT deployments
  • Lead the design and implementation of IoT solutions, including device management, data analytics, and integration with existing systems
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams throughout the project lifecycle
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative IoT solutions
  • Conduct feasibility studies and proof-of-concepts to validate technical feasibility and potential business value

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Proven experience (X+ years) as an IoT Solution Architect or similar role, with a strong background in designing and implementing complex IoT solutions
  • Expertise in IoT protocols, platforms, and frameworks (e.g., MQTT, CoAP, LoRaWAN, AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub)
  • Hands-on experience with IoT device management, edge computing, and data analytics
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their IoT services
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified IoT Specialty, Cisco IoT Certifications) preferred
