Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Server DBA to lead and execute database upgrade projects, ensuring performance, availability, security, and scalability. The ideal candidate will design, configure, and manage Always On Availability Groups (HA/DR) in production environments, plan and implement database migrations to AWS with minimal downtime.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing SQL Server performance, including query optimization, index management, and statistics maintenance. They will also perform regular backups, restores, and disaster recovery testing, as well as collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to ensure database reliability and efficiency.

Additionally, the selected individual will develop and maintain documentation, including runbooks and standard operating procedures, to ensure compliance with security standards, policies, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with SQL Server, including migration from legacy versions to current versions
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing Always On Availability Groups (HA/DR)
  • Strong knowledge of database performance optimization techniques, including query tuning and indexing
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues
