We are seeking a seasoned naval architecture professional to conceptualize and build digital solutions for large container ships.

The ideal candidate will have approximately 12-20 years of experience in naval architecture and ship design, with hands-on experience in building fuel consumption curves and other hydrodynamic performance models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse container ship operations data to conceptualise building Digital Twin of large Container vessels
  • Identify relevant data needed to build Container Ship Digital Twin and guide data scientists with proactive domain inputs
  • Build and model Digital Twin models that include Fuel Performance Curves, Vessel Hydrodynamic Stability, and Power decomposition
  • Model the effect of various parameters on fuel consumption and build tactical solutions for avoiding Parametric and Synchronous rolling
  • Develop AI/ML solutions that can recommend vessel speed through water, overconsumption alerts, fouling margin, etc

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Approximately 12-20 years of experience in naval architecture – ship design, vessel digital twin, fuel performance curves, etc
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in conceptualising and building Container Vessel fuel consumption curves and other ship hydrodynamic performance models
  • Excellent appreciation and/or experience of data science subjects – simulation, optimization, ML models, etc
  • Excellent consulting skills, leadership in uncertain and ambiguous situations, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, solutioning and design thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills – spoken, written, and client-facing roles
