Senior Firmware Validation Specialist

The primary goal of this position is to play a key role in ensuring the highest level of quality and integrity for firmware products. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining thorough test plans that cover all aspects of firmware functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive firmware validation tests to ensure conformance to specifications
  • Collaborate with firmware development teams to understand product requirements and implement effective testing strategies
  • Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate firmware functionality
  • Identify and report defects, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues efficiently
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and emerging standards to ensure continued expertise in firmware validation
  • Effectively communicate test results and status updates to cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, with at least 11 years of relevant experience in firmware validation
  • Expertise in End-to-End Storage Architecture, with strong understanding of storage systems, protocols, and interfaces
  • Proficiency in Whitebox and Greybox testing methods, with ability to design and execute complex test scenarios
  • Strong knowledge of Linux operating system, debugging techniques, and coding skills in Python
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, with ability to collaborate well with others in a team environment
