At the forefront of innovation, we are seeking a visionary to drive the validation of firmware for Enterprise and Datacenter class NVMe SSD products.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing test plans, developing test cases, and crafting test scripts to ensure the highest level of quality in firmware development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define comprehensive test plans, design test cases, and develop test scripts to validate firmware for Enterprise and Datacenter class NVMe SSD products.
  • Demonstrate expertise in understanding one or more areas of firmware: Front End, Back end/Media management, FTL or Security.
  • Exhibit high degree of competency in understanding NVMe/PCIe specifications, NVMe Cloud SSD Specifications, along with grasping customer-specific requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Firmware development teams through the lifecycle of the product, identifying defects, validating fixes, and creating grey and whitebox tests.
  • Communicate status, issues, concerns, strategies of programs and projects - including development of appropriate indicators.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 11+ years of experience in SSD Firmware Validation.
  • Deep expertise in End-to-End Storage Architecture.
  • Strong understanding of Whitebox and grey box test methods for Enterprise / Datacenter SSD Firmware is highly desired.
  • Good hands-on experience in debugging NVMe Protocol issues using Lecroy/JDSU analyzers is an added advantage.
  • Prepare thorough test plans involving access patterns, NVMe protocols, FW test hooks, and VS commands for one or more following areas of FW: Front End, Back End, FTL and Security.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Integrate tests into an automated test environment and collaborate with test execution teams to drive validation plans/strategy.
  • Good knowledge of Linux operating system debugging and coding skills in Python.
  • Effective oral and written communication with strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
