About the Role

Our company is seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our applications and systems.

Your primary focus will be on building and maintaining reliable application suites that meet development and maintenance requirements. You will work closely with various teams and functions across our organization, contributing to our transformation agenda and creating memorable experiences for customers.

You will lead calls, provide consultation and direct technical support in life cycle planning, problem management, integration, and systems programming. Additionally, you will ensure platform performance and availability meet enterprise objectives through monitoring, timely service restoration, and tuning.

We are looking for someone with a Bachelor's degree or industry certification in an applicable IT field, along with 3 years of experience in designing, administering, or supporting one or more platforms. Alternatively, you may have a Bachelor's degree in an IT field, plus 2 years of experience in a similar role. Ideally, you will have 3+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer or Site Reliability Engineer.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of system performance, testing, and programming, as well as the ability to monitor, measure, and optimize system performance and network communication. Experience with Kubernetes and AWS is mandatory, while Docker is desirable.

We also require knowledge of software engineering, agile development methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with VMWare VDI implementations, Dynatrace APM, and synthetic monitoring would be advantageous. Experience with airline applications and infrastructure technology is a bonus.

In this role, you will design, build, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to achieve automation of software delivery processes. You will also lead teams and provide technical guidance and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, administer, and support one or more platforms.
  • Lead calls and provide consultation and direct technical support in life cycle planning, problem management, integration, and systems programming.
  • Ensure platform performance and availability meet enterprise objectives through monitoring, timely service restoration, and tuning.
  • Monitor, manage, and tune platforms to ensure expected availability and performance levels are achieved.
  • Identify gaps in monitoring or documentation and reach out to appropriate teams to fill those gaps.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or industry certification in an applicable IT field.
  • 3 years of experience in designing, administering, or supporting one or more platforms.
  • Knowledge of system performance, testing, and programming.
  • Able to monitor, measure, and optimize system performance and network communication.
  • Knowledge of software engineering, agile development methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Mastery of Kubernetes and AWS.
  • Experience with Docker.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
