Data Expert

As a key member of our data team, you will be responsible for managing large-scale databases, developing strategic reports, and troubleshooting complex data issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Architecture: Design and implement data storage structures to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • User Access Control: Manage user roles and permissions to maintain data security.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of imported data and collaborate with quality assurance analysts if needed.
  • Data Provisioning: Commission and decommission data sets as required.
  • Confidential Data Handling: Handle confidential data in accordance with guidelines.
  • Report Development: Assist in developing reports and analyses to inform business decisions.
  • Reporting Environment Setup: Design and manage the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
  • Data Warehouse Support: Support the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements.
  • Data Integrity Initiatives: Support initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
  • Software Evaluation: Evaluate tests and implement new or upgraded software, and assist with strategic decisions on new systems.
  • Report Generation: Generate reports from single or multiple systems.
  • Reporting Database Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot the reporting database environment and reports.
  • Change Impact Analysis: Analyze changes and updates to source production systems.
  • User Training: Train end-users on new reports and dashboards.
  • Data Knowledge Transfer: Provide technical expertise in data mining, data cleansing, and data analysis techniques.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited university or college.
  • Work experience as a Data Analyst or Business Analyst or in a related field.
  • Ability to work with stakeholders to assess potential risks.
  • Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into nontechnical terms.
  • High-level experience in methodologies and processes for managing large-scale databases.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases.
  • Understanding of addressing and metadata standards.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills.
