About the Role

As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an effective internal audit plan. This plan will identify areas of risk and provide recommendations for improvement. You will also lead the execution of audits, ensuring that they are completed on time and to a high standard.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will work closely with the Risk Management function to identify and assess entity and functional level risks. You will also develop and maintain internal audit SOPs, including templates, protocols, and documentation requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a risk-based annual internal audit plan based on management inputs, business priorities, and assessment of the business risk environment.
  • ID and finalize vendors for program activities execution.
  • Lead internal audit plan execution (in-house or outsourced) as per audit committee approval. Ensure timely execution and reporting to stakeholders.
  • Execute functional audits (in-house or outsourced) as per the annual plan approved by the audit committee.
  • Track and report open internal audit observations status to stakeholders every month.
  • Lead follow-up audits to assess efficacy and effectiveness of management remediation on observed internal audit reviews.
  • Develop and maintain internal audit SOPs, including templates, protocols, and documentation requirements.
  • Create an audit program repository with checklists, templates, and tools for standardization and consistency in internal audit execution.
  • Plan and develop audit support tools to improve audit process quality and efficiency.
  • Partner with the Risk Management function and provide inputs to identify and assess entity and functional level risks.
Educational Qualifications & Experience

Essential Education:

Chartered Accountant

Desired Education:

CIA, CISA, CWA

Experience:

10-15 years of experience implementing, delivering, and embedding risk management at strategic and operational levels.

Proven experience undertaking audits across diverse areas of the organization.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to interface and influence all levels of management.
Knowledge and Specific Skills

Well-equipped with knowledge/skills in corporate governance, internal audit, and risk management domains.
