Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Solutions Consultant to join our team at Zendesk. As a Senior Solutions Consultant, you will be responsible for all technical, solution, and competitive aspects of the Zendesk sales cycle. Your role will involve successfully selling to Enterprise and Mid Market executives, and convincing C-level and director level executives of the technical merits of our software solution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product Managers to be the technical bridge between our Account Executives and prospects.
  • Take ownership of the prime technical relationship with our prospects to drive customer happiness.
  • Proactively manage and deliver technical information to our customers both onsite, online, and via telephone.
Requirements
  • Experience mapping RFI/RFP requirements to software solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, persuasion, presentation, and writing skills.
  • Experience in planning, overseeing, and conducting customer pilots and Proof of Concepts.
  • Experience in web/scripting technologies, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SaaS applications.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills, including the ability to meet a business requirement with a technical solution.
  • Outstanding solution scoping abilities, using our existing solution and influencing new product development.
  • Must be willing to work in a fast-paced startup environment with multiple roles.
  • Equivalent experience is acceptable in lieu of a Bachelor's degree; a graduate degree is considered a bonus.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Obvious passion and people skills.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Mid Market/Enterprise software pre-sales or solutions sales experience.
