About the Role

The Quality Export Operations Lead oversees multiple projects in banana export operations, focusing on temperature monitoring from farm to cold storage. This role demands strong analytical skills and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

This is a highly visible leadership position that requires excellent problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Operations Management:

  1. Oversight of multiple projects related to banana export operations, including project planning, resource allocation, and risk management.
  2. Cross-functional team collaboration to ensure smooth execution of projects, ensuring quality standards are met.
  3. Coordinate with external partners, such as logistics providers and suppliers, to ensure timely delivery of goods.

Temperature Control & Cold Chain Monitoring:

  1. Temperature data monitoring and documentation at all stages, from farm to cold storage.
  2. Analysis of logger reports to identify deviations or breakdowns in cold chain management.
  3. Recommend corrective actions to prevent spoilage and maintain export quality.

Analysis & Reporting:

  1. Detailed analysis of supply chain data to optimize processes and reduce losses.
  2. Preparation of regular performance reports (daily/weekly/monthly) highlighting key metrics and recommendations.
  3. Development of dashboards for real-time monitoring of critical parameters.

Customer Complaint Management & RCA:

  1. Investigation of customer complaints related to container quality, temperature deviations, or product spoilage.
  2. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and identify corrective/preventive actions.
  3. Sharing findings with internal teams, suppliers, and logistics partners to avoid recurrence.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

  1. Support adherence to post-harvest SOPs (chlorine wash, Bavistin dips, pre-cooling, double-dipping, etc.).
  2. Audit farm and cold storage practices to ensure compliance with export standards.
  3. Maintenance of accurate documentation for compliance and supplier communication.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Knowledge of cold chain management and fruit export processes

Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Google Sheets, or equivalent)

Familiarity with temperature logger systems and reporting formats

Effective communication and coordination with diverse stakeholders

Root cause analysis (RCA) and complaint resolution skills
